Hand-Drawn Type

This project consisted of using hand-drawn elements in graphic design. To begin, I chose a reference to draw a bug from in graphite. I then traced the graphite drawing in ink, which was scanned into the computer. To create the letters, I searched for distressed letters in antique shops and on various signs. I repeated the process of drawing in graphite, tracing in ink, and scanning into the computer. I cleaned up the scans in Adobe Photoshop and arranged them in Adobe Illustrator to create the final poster.
