Senior Portfolio Project

This series is the culmination of a semester’s worth of work. For my Senior Portfolio class, I chose to work with Bryan Page, the jewelry instructor at Columbia College, as my mentor. The overall theme of the series is the movement of the body and ways in which it is restricted, either through restrictive fashion or through physical disability. The first two pieces are collar-inspired pieces designed to restrict movement of the head and neck. The following four pieces are adornments to a knee brace, emphasizing an immobility of the body. The last piece is a wrist cuff that is inspired by a billowing sleeve, designed to disrupt the capabilities of the hand.
