Memphis Style Clock

The goal of this project was to explore the Memphis art style in a practical piece of art. This piece was one of my very first 3D designs. It challenged my ability to bring a 2D drawing into 3D space while working with physics and gravity. This piece features two functioning clock faces as well as “free floating” sculptural pieces. This piece was on display during the Columbia College 2021 Student Art Exhibition and was awarded the 3D Design & Ceramics Award.
