Stone Setting Commission

This piece was commissioned by my sister; she had a stone that she received from our grandfather, and she wanted it turned into something simple she could wear rather than something she kept in a drawer. I created a simple silver bezel setting with a reverse teardrop bail to match the stone. This was my first time setting a crystalline stone, which required me to file the bezel edge to meet the structure of the stone. It also required a careful hand, as the quartz was very delicate. She was very happy with the finished product.
