Bruce Davidson Magazine Spreads

In 2018, Columbia College acquired a large collection of Bruce Davidson photographs. Students were encouraged to use these photographs to create various pieces of art, including magazine spreads. A selection of articles and photographs were provided to the Graphic Design II class; students picked two articles to design in Adobe InDesign in emulation of the magazine they were written for. My choices included “Joker in the Pack: Bruce Davidson’s photographs of a Brooklyn gang” written for TIME Magazine and Review from the Underground: Bruce Davidson’s Subway” written for Vogue Magazine.
